Nicola Boyle, Partner
Nicola Boyle has been instrumental in developing the firm’s practice in London, having joined Hausfeld shortly after its launch in 2009. She is consistently listed in Chambers UK, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal as a leader in her field.
Nicola’s expertise lies in large-scale claims on behalf of affected consumers and businesses. Nicola advises on complex, often multi-jurisdictional disputes, involving causes of action in competition, commercial and consumer law.
Lucy Rigby, Partner
Lucy specialises in large-scale collective redress. She joined Hausfeld in 2017 from the consumer group Which? where she advised on competition and consumer law matters. Prior to her time with Which?, Lucy worked within the Litigation Unit at the Office of Fair Trading and as part of Slaughter and May’s competition group.
Lucy has worked on numerous pieces of highly complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation across a variety of sectors. Notable representations at Hausfeld include acting on behalf of 100+ corporate groups against British Airways in the Air Cargo litigation, for proposed class representative Justin Gutmann against train operating companies in the first standalone class actions to be filed in the UK and for the Consumers’ Association (Which?) in its intervention in Mastercard v Merricks before the Supreme Court and the landmark collective action against Qualcomm on behalf of around 29 million UK consumers. Passionate about achieving justice, including for those who cannot afford legal representation, Lucy has been involved in the running of a number of community law centres.
Frances Jenkins, Senior Associate
Frances’ experience covers a broad range of international contentious matters in general commercial litigation, international arbitration, insurance and construction disputes. Frances joined Hausfeld from Fladgate LLP, where she practiced in their commercial litigation and arbitration department. She speaks French, Spanish and Russian.
Jonothan Broadbent, Senior Associate
Jonothan has considerable experience in both competition and commercial disputes and extensive trial experience having gone through multiple full trials in the High Court. He demonstrates litigation expertise, working on cases ranging from smaller claims in the County Courts to multi-billion-pound cases in the High Court.
Edward Nyman, Associate
Edward is an Associate at Hausfeld’s London office and focuses primarily on commercial and financial services litigation. Prior to becoming an Associate, he trained at Hausfeld which included a placement at Which? where he gained substantial in-house experience, focusing on commercial contracts.
